Google Pay

Google Pay — formerly known as Android Pay — is a digital wallet and online payment system formulated by Google. Designed for tap-to-pay transactions on mobile devices, Google Pay allows users to make payments with Android phones, tablets, or watches.

It also facilitates one-tap purchases in mobile apps and on the web, making online shopping easier and more streamlined.

Google Pay leverages NFC technology to transmit payment information between the customer’s device and the merchant’s point-of-sale terminal.

In terms of security, Google Pay employs a unique method where it does not send your actual credit or debit card number with your payment. Instead, it uses a virtual account number that stands in for your real account information, further protecting your sensitive financial data.
