Agent Sales Team
An Agent Sales Team is a group of sales representatives who work on behalf of an Acquirer, Payment Processor, or Independent Sales Organization (ISO) to sell payment processing services to merchants.
These sales teams can either be in-house employees of the company or independent contractors. Their primary role is to identify potential clients, present the benefits of the company’s services, and close sales deals. They may also be responsible for setting up new merchant accounts, providing ongoing customer service, and up-selling or cross-selling additional services.
The success of an Agent Sales Team is typically measured by the number of new merchant accounts they are able to open and the total volume or value of the transactions processed through these accounts. Their compensation may include a base salary, commission on sales, or a residual income based on the transaction fees generated by the merchants they have signed up.
